Hello. Great question. Than you for your pictures. However, with out pre op images and more post op images it is difficult to properly address your concerns. Furthermore, by 8 months a patient should be able to examine their final results. However, it varies patient to patient, some swelling may still be present. If concerns persist, follow up with your surgeon as he is the one who know you best.
Thank you so much for share with us your concern and photos. The recovery time depends on the body type and the patient, all patients are different and it could be you still have some inflammation in that area. Also, I recommend keeping using your garment/ faja that Helps the skin to adhere to the muscle tissue. However, you must be contacting your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who know the technique She/He used in the surgery and the changes of your body suppose to have after this time. Recovery time on a Tummy Tuck surgery some patients need to wait until 1 year to see their finals results with no inflammation. Best of luck!Dr. Quiroz
Hi and thanks for your question. For saying ,is this result good or not, I have to see your preoperative photos. I think your scars is good and the shape of your tummy is also good . Shape of your abdomen don’t change too much because you are near the end of your healing process, generally it takes one year. But if you lose weight slowly your abdomen may be more flat.
It is difficult to comment on your results without viewing your pre op photos. Typically at 8 months post op you are very close to your final results. I would expect only minor changes in the future. I encourage you to return to your surgeon to discuss your concerns.
At 8 months, most patients would already be in the final stages of healing. No major changes are expected in this phase of recovery. However, there are some who experience delayed healing and could still have swelling or inflammation at this point. The best resource of information would definitely be your board certified plastic surgeon as he/she knows your condition best.
Thank you for your question. It’s very difficult to see your results with the photos you uploaded. However there may be some fullness just above the incision line noted. If there is still some fullness, this can be corrected with touchup liposuction above your incision line. If you are unhappy with your result, I recommend speaking with your plastic surgeon and expressing your concern. Best of luck with your recovery.
If having itching has been consistent and not improved I recommend that you return to your surgeon for an evaluation. It may be that the binder is too tight and that a different size or compression strength should be ordered. Your surgeon will guide you through this process.
From your photo it appears you are healing normally. Swelling is expected at this phase and will persist for several weeks yet. I encourage you to continue to follow the advice of your plastic surgeon and discuss all concerns you have.
It is best for you to follow up with your surgeon for post operative instructions. He/She is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.
