It is best for you to follow up with your surgeon for post operative instructions. He/She is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.
In most instances if your belly is uncovered it would be permissible to gently clean the site with a q tip dipped in saline or peroxide and then apply ointment. However you should check with your surgeon regarding his or her specific post op instructions.
