I was recently introduced to the idea of scalpel sculpting instead of laser mole removal. I have three small moles i want to removal, two flat on my cheek and one slightly raised on nose. I heard shave excision has high chance of scar but scalpel sculpting doesn't. what is the difference between these two that would affect scarring chances?

The mole can be excised quite easily by a Plastic Surgeon. A wedge shaped incision is made and tends to heal without scarring in the lip region. Since it encompasses a very small percentage of the width in the upper lip, the wound can then be closed primarily with minimal distortion
