4 months post op, mole had dark spots after laser removal. Opinions? (photos)

Question

Had a mole removed 4 months ago and have just seen dark black/brown/red spots on it. Initially it was just flat and red, not sure how long it’s been like this as it’s on my back so can’t see it, could be weeks. What’s happening? Is it normal? Still feels flat and it’s not painful.

The concerning signs for a pigmented skin lesion include asymmetry, irregular border, change in colour, increasing size, or a mole appearing different in appearance to others that you have. I would recommend seeing a skin specialist, and if they have concerns then you should consider having an excision biopsy (removal of the entire lesion with a small margin of normal tissue).
