Hello @Sincere920766, thank you for your question. Cryotherapy is a non-invasive, high-tech, localized treatment. That is, it only affects the fat where the equipment is placed. It does not affect fat very close to or around the area, or other parts of the body. For more information and recommendations is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS
The short answer is no, it won't have any affect on your fat stores. But a better question than the one you are asking is, does cryotherapy do anything at all beyond placebo effect that is planted by the companies making and selling these machines and the entities touting unproven benefits? The answer to that is also no. It's a waste of your money.
Dear Sincere920766,I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
That is a big maybe since it is not effective but about 75% of the time, and only about 25% really get good results. Liposuction can remove the excess fat. If it is a recent fat transfer, external ultrasound might be helpful.
Your question lacks context and is too simplistic to give you a meaningful answer.Cryotherapy if done aggressively can cause full thickness tissue necrosis and when done conservatively has only a mild impact.Grafted fat is very sensitive for any disruptions in the revascularization process during the first several weeks after the procedure.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
It is unlikely that you have enough fat to have the same effect as an implant. I agree with your surgeon. Combining breast implants with fat grafting can improve the appearance of the breasts in someone like your self. The challenge in a patient like you would be finding enough fat to have a...
