Hello and thank you for your question. In my clinic, we require a negative covid test one day prior to the surgery. If your test result is negative, we will continue with blood work, EKG, ultrasound (if needed), and chest X-rays to eliminate any issues. I suggest you ask your doctor what tests are included in your pre-surgery checks. Good luck.
Dear ashlytons, you should be healthy prior to any elective procedure. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. o be a good candidate for the procedures you want, your labs, pulmonologist and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal, and the covid test must be negative.Kind Regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
You bring up an excellent question. I suggest first and foremost you discuss this with your primary care doctor. Each plastic surgeon will have their own review so you’ll need to find out firsthand what they have to say. They may want clearance from your primary care doctor or potentially an infectious disease specialist. If you are physiologically not having any shortcomings and then most likely you should be fine for elective surgery. heart palpitations by themselves do not necessarily indicate any cardiac abnormality.I suggest moving forward with a few in person consultations to find out firsthand what each provider has to say. You can then also get a quality assessment and better understanding of what can or cannot be achieved.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Hi and welcome to our forum!I am sorry that you are still going through the ravages of Covid 19. There is still much to learn about the complications of this illness. If you are still experiencing breathing issues, this may not be the time to consider BBL. During the procedure, you must be turned over from supine to prone, making the anesthesiologist's task difficult under normal circumstances. You require performance of pulmonary function studies with an evaluation and clearance from a pulmonologist before contemplating any cosmetic surgery. If the palpitations are a frequent occurrence, a cardiologist's evaluation and clearance may also be required. Best wishes...
Various factors determine the result of a BBL, some of them are: amount of fat transfered and anatomy of the patient. In some patients you can inject the fat in an area (example: hip dip) and the skin will not expand. Hope this helps, Dr. Jorge Galaz
Hi What a great question. I will tell you that more importantly always research the doctors credentials and don't be fooled. IN my opinion you should be with only a board certified Plastic surgeon that is recognized by a certifying board and recognized by hospitals. The board of cosmetic surgery...
