Buccal fat or jowl fat? (Photo)

I am planning to search for the right doctor for me, but it's difficult to find the right one when I don't know exactly what I need. I am well aware of my tear trough/nose/weak chin/ and neck fat BUT I am unsure if I need Buccal fat removal or jowl lipo.... The fullness of my cheeks are genetic, but unwanted. What is the determinations factor? I am searching to lessen the fullness and reach a more sculpted facial structure. My cheeks are very squishy and feel like love handles.

Patients with questions and concerns about their buccal fat removal healing process, specially if associated with severe facial swelling,  should address those concerns with the surgeon that performed the operation, ideally during an urgent follow up consultation.

Buccal fat removal is generally associated with minimal swelling in 90% of the patients. In 10% of the patients the swelling is severe and could lasts for several days. Therefore either mild or severe facial swelling post buccal fat removal are normal post surgical findings.

Swelling after buccal fat removal it is generally mild in 90% of the patients. In 10% of the patients the swelling could be severe, specially the day after surgery and could last for up to a week.

Buccal fat removal is associated with most of the time mild swelling that lasts for few days. In 10% of the patients, the swelling is severe to the point they look like chipmunks and lasts for several days up to more than a week. The resolution of the swelling depends on the patient's healing...
