When will my cheeks start looking normal again? (Photo)

I've just had buccal fat removal and neck look yesterday. And my face is so swollen, I literally look a chipmunk, I just want to know when I'll start looking normal again ?

Buccal fat removal is associated with most of the time mild swelling that lasts for few days. In 10% of the patients, the swelling is severe to the point they look like chipmunks and lasts for several days up to more than a week. The resolution of the swelling depends on the patient's healing abilities. In practice I recommend my patients to ice their cheeks until the swelling goes down. Patients with questions and concerns about their buccal fat removal healing process should address those concerns with the surgeon that performed the operation, ideally during a follow up consultation.
