Chat Looking into breast revision located in Orange County, CA. area. Do not need lift. Concern is rippling on left side, pocket healed differently on left compared to right, pocket is firmer. Considering silicone from saline, swap for less rippling. Also might need a pocket adjust. Could internal brahelp with holding integrity of breasts as I age? One doctor recommended to help.
Answer: Internal bra What surgeons use for internal bras does vary. Many use mesh that will absorb over time, and many use permanent mesh. Anything absorbable will give less support over time since only your built up collage is there to support. You do need to avoid large heavy implants that will sag over time.

Answer: Breast revision Thank you for your question. It sounds like you have capsular contracture on one side. There are multiple treatments for this which include removing the implant in capsule and possibly moving the implant from behind the back muscle to in front of it or vice versa depending on where it is currently located. Other options to reduce capsular contracture include putting in A piece of a sailor dermal matrix, however this is typically associated with an additional fee.Depending on the piece of mesh used This may decrease the chances of capsular contracture and can also help to prevent the implant and breast from descending over time.Good luckWess Cohen, MD

Answer: Revision surgery Dear sweetnessxoxoxo, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
