If your issue is poor skin tone, your lack of success with prior treatments may very well relate to barking up the wrong tree. Generally speaking, a series of in-office superficial peels, using high concentrations of glycolic or salicylic acid, Jessner's Solution, or low concentrations of TCA would be a very reasonable approach, especially if accompanied by the regular at-home use of prescription topicals, such as retinoids and or alphahydroxyacid creams or lotions.
