Thank you for your question. It is common to have swelling lasting 6 - 9 months following traditional liposuction. The first couple of weeks can be frustrating when swelling and bruising are present. It is important that you remain patient and continue to wear your compression binder. This will help decrease your swelling.I always recommend close follow up with your surgeon to monitor your progress. It would be interesting to see your pre-operative photographs to evaluate if an abdominoplasty may have achieved a more satisfactory result.

Thank you for your question and series of photographs, and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated.  It is difficult to weigh in on your current results without "before" photographs, and with knowing that your results will continue to change for up to six months or longer from the procedure.  Much of your healing does sound normal for patients that received stomach liposuction, as swelling can be significant for months after the procedure, especially as you start to increase your activity level.  Continue to wear your compression garment and voice your concerns with your surgeon, they are in the best position to provide you with reassurance.  

It can take 4-6 months for the swelling to completely subside.  Give it more time. It does look like you started out with loose skin as well and a tummy tuck may have been or is  a good option.
