I was an athletic and a weight lifter and I tore my pec 18 years ago and want to repair it or at least somehow cosmetically make it looks proportion with my other breast. Please advice me and refer me to a doctor that can help me. Thank you so much.
Answer: Pec implants NYC In the case of torn pectoral muscles, implants are very effective. Essentially the implant just fills in the gap left by the torn muscle and everything looks normal. I perform this routinely from patients around the world. In some cases I colaborate with an orthopedic surgeon to repair the muscle before implantation.

Answer: Torn pectoral muscle – 18 years ago - What can be done today? Thank you for your question. This is a very common question in my practice in #Toronto. Some patients are born with an under-developed pectoral muscle (Poland’s syndrome) and some patients have sustained a trauma to their muscle, as in your situation. In my busy practice in downtown Toronto, pectoral augmentation with implants have proven to be very successful. Fat grafting is the second best option, and sometimes, a combination of both. Pectoral implants are soft silicone implants, same as buttock and calf implants. Pectoral implants are inserted via a small incision within the underarm area.Another option is a custom-made implant where I, the plastic surgeon, fabricate a custom-made sample which is then sent to USA to be made, cured and sterilized. This is a common option for pectus excavatum for example. Be sure you meet a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in pec augmentation. Answer: Pectoral assymetry sorry to hear of your torn muscle. After 18 years it very scarred in and will likely not respond well to attempts at fixation. your options at this point include pectoral implants, fat grafting or a combination of the two. It's a straightforward procedure when done in experienced hands. Go for a consultation with an American Board of Plastic surgery certified surgeon to better educate yourself. Best
