Could a brow lift on a woman in her 20s affect her aging gracefully?

Perhaps the procedure could worsen your appearance as you age? i've seen lots of celebrities who have altered their facial anatomy at a young age and i'm wondering how it will turn out.

As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. Thank you for your question. The answer is a little complex, as trends can change over time. A few decades ago, having a higher arched brow for females was considered desirable, but now a smaller peak is considered best. If your brows are low enough to create a tired, hooded appearance, it's unlikely raising the brow will be a detriment to appearance. If the brows are only mildly descended, and surgery results in overcorrection, then yes, that could worsen appearance. But in general, having a lift now will result in higher brows at X age in the future versus not doing anything. An in-depth discussion of goals and risks is paramount before any surgery, and I encourage you to do so with your surgeon. I hope this information helps, and I wish you all the best.

Age is certainly something to take into consideration when considering plastic surgery for many reasons. Just because a patient can have surgery doesn't mean they should. When it comes to very young patients, it's not uncommon for me to suggest them consider waiting. Your face will change, your goals may change, scarring always occurs at the superficial and deep levels and it can affect subsequent surgery you may want or need down the line, etc.
