Should I have my crown adjusted because it's stopping my teeth meeting?

I've just had a new crown put in over the remnants of my upper left one incisor. This problem is that the crown seems very thick (front to back), and rather than my lower incisors sitting behind it, they make contact with it, about half to two third up the length of the crown. Because of this, my upper and lower sets of teeth won't meet. I've only had the crown for less than a week. Should I give it more time to "sort itself out", or go back to my dentist? Perhaops get a second opinion?
