Hello. I see my dentist regularly and have been holding off on getting an implant to replace a crowned tooth that decayed for a few months due to a recent financial crisis. Last week the crowned tooth and post finally fell out and I'm wondering if immediate extraction is necessary. I'm starting to feel a bit of pain/sensitivity in the area. I'm stalling because my dentist is expensive, but there's a great dental clinic at a nearby university hospital that's affordable. Should I go asap?
