I am 5’6ish around 155 pounds athletic 40 year old. I work out daily and will be getting a lift with implants soon. My question is size, i want upper pole fullness after breastfeeding 2 kids and pumping for one. I want them to be full but not large. How do I go about figuring out the best size?
Answer: Breast lift You don’t need a very large implant to achieve what you want. No more than 350 cc. An implant too large will stretch the skin out too much

Answer: Breasts During your consultation, you will be measured and can try on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Naturally, your breasts sit somewhat low on your chest, so you will never have really high perky teenager breasts.

Answer: Selecting an implant Selecting the right implant for you is where your board certified plastic surgeon is your personal expert. At a consultation your surgeon will discuss your surgical goals with you as well as measure your breasts. This information will be combined to help determine implant considerations. If you are happy with your overall volume you may be eligible for a lift with autoaugmentation. This approach uses your own tissue to provide upper pole fullness during the lift. I've included a video on this that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Meet with your surgeon Hi Loving3181419, It'd be best to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. For my patients, I'd start with a conversation about your goals, including any "wish pics". During the physical exam, we'd discuss any right to left differences, and also do standardized measurements--these can help determine whether a lift would be appropriate for you. In addition, real time "try on sizing" can add volume to help determine what your goal volume addition would be. For most patients, your base width (determined on physical exam) and your goal volume will narrow the world of implants down to four or five that make sense for your frame. In my practice, we could virtually try those on using Vectra imaging, and then review some photos of my own patients with similar body types. I'd suggest meeting with your plastic surgeon to start the discussion, and be honest about your goals! Hope this helps. Answer: Choosing the right implant size Thank you for submitting your question and providing photos. Choosing the right implant will have to with your current breast size/anatomy and your desires aesthetic goals. It is always harder for patients to imagine what size implant they would like since the lift itself will change the shape and potentially volume of the breast. At our clinic we have Vectra 3D imaging system that is able to give a simulation of what your breasts can look like after a lift and with different implants. We also use a sizing system so that patients can actual feel what the added volume can look/feel like in a bra. It's important to consult with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who will ensure that the implant does not go beyond your ideal breast implant measurements. Hope this was helpful.

Answer: Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
