Is it normal to not be able to barely walk or stand after mole removal?

Question

I had a mole removed by a razor blade a week ago and it has been increasingly painful and to the point i can not walk or put weight on that foot. Is this normal? I have been taking tylenol for the pain and nothing is touching it. my job requires me to be able to walk around a lot and its not happening. What could be wrong. It doesnt look infected, no weird smells just some redness above the removal site. I cant believe that this could be normal.

Thank you for your question and I am sorry that your mole removal has been this painful.  If the mole was located on the bottom part of your foot it would cause some discomfort to place weight onto it, but it should have improved over the period of a week. I would recommend seeing your surgeon for an in-person evaluation to ensure all is well.

With this history I would recommend oral antibiotics and oral Bromelain to decrease swelling.The combination will decrease swelling and decrease the chance of infection
