Shaving the mole and lightly sanding or dermabrading the edges will probably give very nice results and is done under local which is almost totally painless.
Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Our office specializes in non-surgical mole removal. Best,Dr. Raffy KaramanoukianRealself 100 Surgeon
this can be removed in the office without complication by an expert dermatologist. I suggest seeing someone with experience. Best, Dr. Emer.
I like using a shave excision on moles such as yours. It will heal with a flat scar and may be a little lighter or darker than the initial color. It is possible that the mole could recur with this technique. Recovery time on the face is about a week.
Your mole could be shaved off flat with a blade to make it blend in with the surrounding skin or it could be cut out deeper (excised) and the skin could be brought together with stitches. The former method may result in the mole coming back or leaving a chickenpox appearing scar. The latter method will leave a line scar but should completely remove the mole. There is always the potential to leave a noticeable mark behind especially since the mole is on the central portion of your face. The scarring will also depend on your inherent capacity to heal and how well you take care of the area after the procedure. It will take 1-2 weeks for the skin to heal over if the mole is shaved off but the skin will show a violaceous flat mark for a few months. This could be covered with markup. If it is excised the stitches would be removed in 5-7 days.If you decide to proceed be sure to discuss these options with a dermatologic or plastic surgeon.

If you are concerned about the mole this can be removed/biopsied in the office quite easily. Best, Dr. Emer.
Always best to check with your doctor about restrictions in activity or sleeping position, but i would recommend maintaining the steristrips in place with a gauze cover and a good supportive garment while sleeping to avoid tension along the incision in order to allow it to heal quickly. Hope...
