I've always been allergic to latex. If I wear a band aid that has latex in it within hours I will get blisters in the shape of the band aid. I'm not really finding a lot of info online about latex allergy in correlation with getting lip injections. Is there any risk?

Answer: Dermal filler and latex allergy I have been able to inject several patients with latex allergy and sensitivity with dermal fillers and neurotoxins without any adverse effects. There should be no cross reactivity with hyaluronic acid fillers which are typically used in lip injections and latex. Your injector should be diligent about using latex free gloves during your visit. Good luck

Answer: Lip fillers and latex allergy The short answer is yes. None of the three fillers used to inject the lips for fullness (Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero) contain latex. None of them have cross reactivity with latex either. As long as the injecting dermatologist uses vinyl or nitrile gloves, you should be fine.
