In our office the recovery period involves the patient going home in a bra or with only light dressings
over the incision lines. Sutures are dissolvable but an ending knot, if present
is removed within 1-2 weeks. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral
medication. Light activities may be started in 7-10 days.After this amount of time if you are still questioning the result of your procedure, then you should contact your surgeon immediately to schedule a follow-up and discuss the current appearance and any further recovery or any rework that may need to be done. You  may have a small dehiscence or separation of the incision.   A photo would be nice. Best to discuss with your surgeon.

I have to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to
determine how your results are going to be, per now, they look very nice and
beautiful, you can have one bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have
bruises and open wounds, it is normal and that can happen for the first 3 to 4
months until your implants have settle in. I recommend you to wait and keep
using your post surgical bra, that will help you with the shape and support. Hugs!

The string is probably one of the sutures that are designed to dissolve over time. Sometimes the sutures will appear on the surface and should be removed by your surgeon. You need to discuss with him your concerns about your surgery results. Hopefully time will produce improvement. Seven weeks post op is still early.
