Can wide sidewalls & crooked tip after rhinoplasty be fixed with revision? (Photos)

Question

I had open rhinoplasty 5 months ago for bump removal and now I have crooked tip retracted nostril with scar and big high sidewalls which is not swelling its bone. And the tip is turned up . Can this be fixed with revision?

Hello and thank you for your question. All of the issues you mention and demonstrate in your photos can be addressed with a revision surgery. Performing Nasal Tip Deprojection at the same time would also be an extremely important aspect of your revision. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

It is best to wait at least one year before considering nose revision. At that time in most patient result will mature, swelling disappears, and scars are softer. You may expect some improvement in current result by that time but it still does not mean that you may not need revision. This is always best to discuss with your surgeon. Good luck.

It appears you may have had cartilage grafts placed in your nose making the tip fat. Also your nasal bones appear wide and couid be narrowed. Many different ways to approach correction

I recommend you wait 6 months from the date of surgery before undergoing any revision. You would benefit from a revision. You will need the tip redefined as it is bulbous and the nose is angled to your right. The base of the nose has widened.
