Each surgeon has different guidelines on what to do, and not to do, after eyelid surgery. It’s best to follow what your surgeon has provided to you, since the instructions have been designed for you. For my patients, I allow them to wear makeup about a week after surgery, once the stitches have been removed, and only about a week off from work is necessary. Exercise and other vigorous activity that raises the blood pressure can increase swelling. For this reason I recommend that it be avoided for about 6 weeks. You can shower the next day, but avoid soaking the sutures in water for too long.
You can start showering and shampooing normally the second day after surgery. Don't drive until your vision isn't blurry (because sometimes swelling may affect your vision). You can start working out again in a couple of weeksI generally advise patients not wear make-up for the first two weeks after surgery. When you start putting on makeup again, don't use any products that are very dark because pigments can permanently darken incision lines. However, it's best to ask your surgeon because they might have different advice.

I suspect that you are noticing your tear trough deformity now that you have lost some facial fullness. I do not expect this to self correct and believe that you will likely need soft tissue fillers or autologous fat to improve the condition and help convert the shadows into highlights.
