Most effective way to smooth nasolabial folds? (photo)

Question

Hi, I'm currently 31, I started getting fillers for my undereyes and nasolabial folds around age 26 in 2017, since then I get 2 syringes once a year (one for eyes, one for nasolabial folds). My problem is that it's only most effective for about 3 months, then it slowly fades away. I was wondering if there's any permanent surgery for nasolabial folds, or if there's better options like if thread lifting would be more effective. Thanks! ☺️

It is possible you have graduated to fat transfer.  Fat transfer is a wonderful way to improve youth and beauty with permanent results.  When it is done properly it is blended into all of the areas of the face, not just the cheeks, to really turn back the clock.  Fat transfer is truly an art form.  Please go to someone skilled in this procedure who does many of them to obtain very natural looking results.

I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting,  and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. You didn’t mention what filler you’ve been using. From the information you’ve shared I suggest using half of the amount of volume and doing it every six months.  Three syringes is a lot of material for a young person if used correctly.

One full syringe is heavy-handed for nasal labial folds unless someone is in their 60s.

And even more important recommendation is using long lasting fillers. Radiesse is the best long lasting filler and represents exceptional value compared to HA fillers.

In the HA filler options Voluma has a clear advantage over other HA fillers.

Bellafill is probably the longest lasting but make sure your provider has experience working with it.
