Thank you for your question.  As long as the filler that was injected was a hyaluronic acid, then Vitrase (hyaluronidase) will dissolve what was injected (and very quickly at that).  It will not cause any problems with your native hyaluronic acid, so you should expect that your lips would revert to how they looked before the injections.

Sorry to hear about your lip injection experience.  Hyaluronidase can be used to soften and reverse the effects of the injection.  I would make sure that your injector is well versed with the use of Hyaluronidase.  I tend to be conservative when I am trying to do corrective dissolving to minimize the chance that additional fillers would be necessary in the future.

Treating the lumps with hyaluronidase will probably dissolve some of the filler you want to stay. It nonselectively dissolves the filler in the area it is injected. If your lips deflate, I'd go to another doc and start the process over.

Hyaluronidase can be very successful in dissolving certain types of fillers. The results however is contingent on the filler that you received. If it is a hyaluronic acid filler, then hyaluronidase is a good option to dissolve some or all of the filler. Examples include Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero
