Unfortunately this area is a difficult area for weight loss.  One procedure that would be beneficial for you would be Kybella.  Occasionally you will need several treatments in order to achieve the results you are wanting.  Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that physically destroys fat cells to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat beneath the chin – also known as submental fullness or “double chin.” Once destroyed, those cells can no longer store or accumulate fat

However, like many things, the details make the treatment a bummer.  It is a very expensive service because a single session does almost nothing.  Most people find that they need up to 6 sessions at 1 month intervals and at the end of those treatments 40% of people are disappointed with the results of treatment.  That is a very expensive service, a lot of discomfort and time for a treatment that is pretty disappointing.  The alternative is lower face and neck liposuction.  This is a very comfortable procedure that is minimally invasive. It can be done under local but many people prefer a little intravenous sedation.  After about 4 days, most people return to their work and social situations.  Compare that with  dramatic discomfort and swelling seen with Kybella treatments.  I recommend lower face and neck liposuction.  In my opinion buccal fat is not the right procedure for you.  At your age, you should try adjusting your diet or exercise by 5% and this could have a profound effect on this small volume.

Kybella is a simple office based procedure which would remove the fat below your chin.  The buccal fat excision is a surgical procedure which would thin your face/cheeks.
