20 y/o, 5'10 140 lbs I am skinny I never had a double chin. I am unsure if this is fat or skin. I am knowledgable in fillers so do not recommend other treatments. In my opinion Voluma is the best, and that's what I have the most of. I am training to get my master's in nursing so I can do injections. Should I do Kybella or just Voluma on my Jawline or a combination of both like 2 Kybella treatment's spaced 6 week's apart and than Voluma to define Jawline? I Included Before/After's & my Goal Jaw
Answer: Kybella Thank you for your question regarding nonsurgical procedures to slim the face. There are a few modalities that may help you achieve a slimmer lower half of your face. The first is the use of Botox in the masseter muscles. These muscles can become large if you area grinding or clenching your teeth or just genetically. By relaxing the muscles with Botox, over time they will relax and diminish in size. This will result in a smoother and less sharp angle of the jawline. Secondly, fillers can also be used strategically, and in addition to the Botox, can help contour the jawline to the shape you desire. Lastly, some are using Kybella (off label) to melt fat in the lower face (jowls) as well as using it's on label use to melt fat under the chin. This can also be used in addition to the other treatments discussed above. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Jawline Definition Hello and thank you for your question. Dermal fillers can be injected along the jawline to create a sharper and more defined angle, providing a more sculpted and youthful appearance. A weak or recessed chin can contribute to an unbalanced jawline as well. Dermal fillers can be used to augment and enhance the chin, improving overall facial harmony and defining the jawline. Fillers can also correct minor jawline asymmetries, providing a more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Answer: Jawline Definition / Jawline Enhancement / Facial Sculpting / Facial Contouring -- injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Kybella for Jaw Line Hi and thank you for your question! Kybella is FDA-approved for reduction of fat under the chin, and in your case, the issue does not seem to be related to excessive fat and hence Kybella is not likely to help. For a better defined jaw line, injection of fillers would be a great option and you can see great results at skilled hands. I hope it helps and good luck!

Answer: Kybella and Voluma Inectables Thanks for the detailed question and all the photos. By the looks of the photos it doesn't seem that you have a lot of adipose tissue around your jaw line which is what Kybella works on. It would be best to use a filler to try to sculpt the jaw line. Practitioners in our practice have had great results when using Sculptra along the jaw line, if you were willing to consider a different product.
