Do I have poland syndrome or just asymmetrical breasts? (photos)

My right breast is significantly smaller than my left. It's been that way my whole life. My right nipple is also smaller. I had difficulty breastfeeding my children. I also have less armpit hair on my right side. It grows at a much slower rate.

Only, but not less, a complex congenital breast assimetry, that can be addressed with implants and uplifts, however you must understand that full simmetry will not be accomplished.

Most women have a left breast that is larger than their right breast. What you have is very common.  If the volume discrepancy  bothers you there are a number of ways that this can be corrected surgically.  This is not a case of  Poland Syndrome so don't be concerned about that.

Poland's syndrome is an entier specturm of changes on one side of the chest that can be associated with not only breast hypomastia or amastia but also rib, extremity, and muscular deficits. Best to be seen in person.

It is hard to tell from these photos alone. Often Poland's syndrome has associated anomalies in addition to the underdeveloped breast. Most commonly is a smaller or occasionally absent pectoralis muscle. Less commonly are abnormalities of the arm or hand. A smaller breast alone would not typically be called Poland's syndrome. But axillary hair sparsity is associated, so you might fit into that diagnostic category. All the best.

These two photos do not show obvious signs of Poland's Syndrome. It is much more common and more likely in this case that there is natural breast asymmetry.

Poland's Syndrome is very rare and natural breast asymmetry is very common. Poland's involves a small breast, absent or deformed pectoralis muscles and sometimes hand abnormalties. An exam is critical to say but most plastic surgeons only see Poland's a couple of times in their careers.
