Wanting to correct asymmetry, would breast implants affect my tattoo placement? (photo)

Undergoing a breast augmentation procedure with a small implant should not change the placement of a tattoo on the rib cage. I recommend speaking with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.

I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Hello thank you for your question. That is a lovely tattoo. Depending on the size you may want to consider a transaxillary incision (through the armpit) but this is only if your implant size is small. Even if you went through the tattoo scar, it can be touched up with tattoo afterwards. Speak to your plastic surgeon about your options. Feel free to check out our website for more options.
