I have Ramsay Hunt Syndrome on the left side of my face. Is Botox an option?

Thanks for your question. As Botox is effective in reducing muscle strength, and RHS is characterized by loss of muscle strength it seems unlikely that it could do any good. However, in the healing after the acute phase of RHS some muscles might regain too much (relative) strength or otherwise a disbalance in the face might make relaxing at strategic points helpful in reducing asymmetry. Try to find a skilled professional in your town since the bespoke nature of this treatment could be a reason to have several visits to tweak the result.

Hello, do you have facial paralysis on left  side ? Personal examination will be best to assess you. Botox injections on Right side selectively may sometimes be done to balance the look .
