Hello RS! I had 4 units of Botox injected on May the 2nd. Today I was swimming but wearing my goggles on my forehead for a while. 8 hours later, I still have deep, round, goggle shaped dentation marks and this never, ever happened before Botox! Should this even out? I'm worried it's going to stick and not smooth out! Thank you.
Answer: Dents from Goggles following Botox Hi and thank you for your question! I highly doubt that what you experienced was related to 4 units of Botox injected over a month ago. However, a skin dent due to pressure from goggles that lasts over 8 hours is somewhat strange and might require further investigation to rule out edema and other underlying medical conditions. I hope it helps and good luck!

Answer: Dents After Botox From Swimming Goggles?! Thank you for you question. Sorry to hear about your experience. Based on what you described, there is unlikely to be any causal relationship with the Botox. What you described is most likely related to pressure from tight swimming goggles. This should even out on its own, but if you continue to have any concerns, please be sure to see your doctor for an in-person evaluation in order to properly diagnose and treat your symptoms. Hope this helps and best wishes!

Answer: Indentation in forehead Your Botox was done 6 weeks ago and has no bearing on the indentations from the goggles. There is also no chance that it is swelling from the injection done so long ago. the indentation should go away quickly and may already be gone

Answer: Botox Thank you for your question. While it's difficult to make an exact diagnosis without assessing you in-person, or at least reviewing your photos, based on your description it sounds like the lines you are seeing are more likely due to your swimming goggles being too tight. Sometimes, sustained pressure on the skin can result in localized swelling, or even hives - this process has nothing to do with your Botox treatment. It should resolve on its own without treatment. Best of luck!

Answer: There is a relation, but don't be afraid Since Botox reduces muscle action, it might take a bit longer than usual for your skin to even out after pressure from outside. We see the same thing with wrinkles that come from sleeping on one side of the face, they can take longer to fade away because no muscle will 'stretch' the skin. A little massage would help to mimic what otherwise the muscles would have done.
