Answer: Weight Fluctuations After Male Breast Reduction Any fluctuations in weight- within a certain range- can compromise the results of your male breast reduction surgery. For this reason, I always recommend that my patients be within 15-20 pounds of their ideal weight before committing to the procedure. If you are overweight and are looking to slim down, try to lose any remaining weight before the date of your surgery, and incorporate a regular diet and exercise routine after surgery to best maintain your results.

Answer: Weight loss after gynaecomastia Hi. It depends on how much weight you lose. If it is only a small amount it may enhance the result, but a large amount eg 30lb may produce sligthly more loose skin. If you are going to lose weight do it gradually - you are less likely to get loose skin and also more likely to maintain the result. All the best - losing weight can be hard. Regards Dr Charles Cope

Answer: Weight change after gynecomastia surgery In general losing weight and getting better toned through exercise will enhance your results. However it is the elasticity of your skin that really determines how "tight" your result will be, and you don't really have control over this.

Answer: Weight change It is always best to be at your ideal weight and have stable weight before surgery and after surgery. Weight alterations will change the result. Whether this makes the result worse of better in your opinion is unknown. It is best to remain at your ideal weight and remaining fit and active is advisable. How the final result will end up is somewhat less important than remaining healthy. Exercising and improving muscle tone may help and the skin will continue to retract over time. Likewise the scars will improve and you should be massaging the scars.
