At size 34 each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 200 cc implants would take you up 2 cup sizes to a DD. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Without more information this is a guest but from the description it sounds like you want a modest augmentation. Based on your frame 200 mL seems to be a good choice.
Thank you for your question. It is impossible to select the proper implant size without an actual exam. However, I would suggest thinking more 3 dimensionally and not selecting based on volume alone. While 200cc will typically increase your bra size by one cup, it doesn't take into account the width of the implant. You will have a more natural result if you select an implant who's width matches your breasts width. This will prevent a large space between the breasts and give a more natural result. A 200cc implant is fairly narrow and can look unnatural for many women. I would consider discussing a more 3 dimensional approach with your plastic surgeon to ensure the best result possible. Best of luck with your breasts. Jeff Rockmore
The most important element in size choice is that you like the way your chosen size looks on you. Three dimensional computer simulations can help you see what the size would look like. Also, you can place the implants in a bra over your own breast and see about which size bra the implant will fill in you. The rough rule is that 200cc is about a cup size, but the rule is not so reliable because there is so much variability in bra sizes.
WIithout an exam, it is impossible to tell you what size implant would be appropriate to achieve the desired result that you want. Best to be seen in person.
Although nothing replaces a face to face consultation, 200 cc seems adequate to reach a full C if you are already a C cup. I loosely use 200-250 cc as one cup size. Now, there are lots of measurements and thought process that goes into determining what implant would be best for you as mentioned by these other surgeons....but from a patients point of view, I would say 200 cc should achieve what you are looking for. Good luck.
In order to make an accurate size recommendation, I would need to assess your chest wall and breast mound measurements and characteristics. Unfortunately, there is not a general rule of thumb or objective criteria to implant selection. Your plastic surgeon will perform several measurements of your chest wall and breast anatomy and determine a range of implants that both fit your chest wall and reach your desired goals. The next step is to try on this range of implants in the office with your doctor. The key to this success is showing your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allowing your surgeon to guide you to the right implant. It will be much easier to communicate in implant cc's than cup size when determining the appropriate implant for you. I wish you a safe recovery and fantastic result. Dr. Gill
This is the approach I use to help guide my patients with their implant size selection: I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients: 1.Dimensional planning 2.Gel Implant Sizing system Dimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation. Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. If you have decided on saline implants, then based on the gel sizer you select, we can guide you to the saline implant that achieves a similar look. Hope this helps. Dr. Basu Houston, TX
Thank you for the question. Despite good intentions, online consultants will not be able to provide you with meaningful specific advice. Ultimately, in person consultation with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons will be necessary. Careful measurements, dimensional planning, and careful communication will be key. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you're looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “full C cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. I hope this (and the attached link) help.
Breast implants should actually be fit sort of like fitting your foot in a shoe or your body in a dress. You don't start with the shoe or dress size and work backwards. You also want to know that the effect of the volume of the implant is rather than the number of cc's. Unless your breast is unusually wide or narrow for your chest, a properly sized implant that fits the width of your breast without under or overfilling it and is the lowest forward volume (profile) will make your breast look about 1 cup size larger regardless of the number of cc's. The medium profile implant would make you look about 1 1/2 cup sizes larger and the high profile would look about 2 cup sizes larger. Thus it is not possible to go from a small C-cup to a full C-cup size as that would be less than one full cup size larger. It is also not reasonable to just pick a breast size any more than one can just pick a shoe size. Therefore, the smallest increase with current implants would be the lowest profile in saline-filled or gel-filled and a diameter that matches your internal breast width. This might be 200 cc but you start with the internal breast width and the profile choice and look up the number of cc's.
Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. No, obtaining a tattoo will not puncture the breast implant. Best wishes.
In the US, all cosmetic procedures and related complications are not generally covered by insurance, although this may differ according to your insurance provider. It's best to ask them if they do.
Would either not do anything or insert a small implant above the muscle. You have nice breasts and you are still young and I would not recommend any procedure prior to pregnancy. But if you wanted a fuller firmer breast, a small implant would do.
