Wear Liposuction Garment and Skin Burn? (photo)

          This is a bit difficult to determine from the single picture and without observing you throughout the course of the postoperative period.  I would defer to your surgeon and follow his or her advice.

You should follow the specific instructions of your plastic surgeon. With proper care a second degree burn should heal within the week and then can receive the compressive garment.

You should be able to treat your burn and wear your liposuction garment simultaneously. Depending on what your doctor advises, you probably need an antimicrobial cream such as silvadene or bacitracin and a non adherent sterile gauze over it. You can cover this with a thicker piece of gauze and put the compression garment right over it to hold the dressing in place. It is fine to remove the garment to shower and keep things clean for small periods of time, or even to air it out for short periods of time. Your plastic surgeon will offer the best advice after observing your progress.
