Good Morning! Great questions. To start, you could consider steroid injection with massaging to see if improvements are made. For scars, steroids can do wonders to reduce the size. Then, move to excision. The oral mucosa (pink lip) tends to heal very well if sutured correctly. The downtime and discomfort should be minimal.
