I've been insecure about my nose for a while now and I'm considering getting a rhinoplasty but I'm not sure where to start. What would I need corrected if I wanted a similar result to this before & after? My nose is very straight and narrow but bulbous at the same time. I want it to be slimmer, have more of a curve and for the tip to be pointing upwards.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi @Manda562. Thank you for sharing your photos. You are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are options for you that can be determined after examination. In my practice, I utilize piezosurgery. Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of Luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Cosmetic Rhinoplasty + Tipplasty I believe a cosmetic rhinoplasty would look beautiful on you and truly enhance all of your feminine features. It looks like the frontal view photo is cropped a bit so your full nose is not visible, but from the angles that you have provided, you are an ideal candidate for a rhinoplasty. In order to have more of a curve this would entail bringing your bump down which makes the nose appear wider. Therefore, we would also have to bring the bones in to maintain the narrowness of your nose. The projection of your nose is good for your face shape and you have a wonderful chin to balance it. I believe by reducing the bump, lessening the bulbosity of the tip, rotating the tip upward, and bringing the nostril margin in, we can achieve your desired results. I also use cartilage to set the tip up such that it will not dip with smiling as you continue to age. When you are ready we can set a consultation to perform a 3D visual of your nose to make sure we are on the same page. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified facial plastic surgeons to discuss your ideal aesthetic goals. This way, they can better assess your face and create an ideal treatment plan for you. Best of luck, Kian Karimi MD, FACS

Answer: Rhinoplasty Dear Manda562, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from rhinoplasty. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
