going in for a primary rhinoplasty/perforated septum repair. I need to understand in depth the pros and cons of donor vs own rib cartilage to make decision. I am aware of the pain/downtime from using my own but incredibly confused by medical research on the long term outcomes and complications of the two. Especially regarding re absorption of donor rib and the chances of this occurring in the years to come. I am 40yrs old and don't want to undergo this surgery again as I age. Thanks!!
