Can a closed rhinoplasty fix my twisted/rounded nose?

15 months post revision rhino. Can a closed rhinoplasty fix the twisted and rounded appearance of my front profile? Specifically the sides of the nose located in bottom 2/3rds of nose.

Hello & sorry for your poor post-operative result. Theoretically, anything that can be accomplished via an "open" approach can also be accomplished via a "closed" approach. The only difference is in the degree of accuracy in the diagnosis and the ease in making any corrections. Lifting the skin up and looking down on the bony-cartilaginous nasal structure in place is more accurate than looking through internal nasal incisions &/or delivering the structures out of the nose. Furthermore, making the appropriate corrections with excisions, re-positioning &/or grafting is also much easier and somewhat more certain. Your question should be what is wrong and what is necessary for a correction rather than if any surgery can be done via a "closed" approach. You should seek experts in revision rhinoplasty and see what they think should be done and how they would do it to get the most predictable, successful outcome!

It is possible.  The key is to know what was done the first time. If you have the operative note it can be reviewed to determine what makes sense.  Sometimes these things can be fixed right in the office. Other times, they require a trip to the operating room.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your question you need also alar base plasty for your nose base. This means closed rhinoplasty would not help you to achieve your goals. If you want you can have closed but I recommend you open rhinoplasty surgery. Best Regards!
