Question

Wondering if I need a revision or if I’m being too picky. Doctor did an open rhinoplasty on my naturally upturned nose to lengthen it with septum cartilage. Corrected hanging columella and hump. Told doc that front view was most important to me. I wanted less nostril visibility and defined/contoured tip. Is this swelling even though my skin is thin? Still seems short and bulbous from front. Profile looks good. Doc said he would narrow the bridge as revision but didn’t address the bulbous tip.

Since you have very thin skin and since you are nearly looking at a completely healed result, Revision rhinoplasty surgery may not be in your best interest. You appear to have a natural looking and unoperated nasal appearance, and there are too many uncertainties with revision rhinoplasty, in my opinion, to have another operation to achieve a narrower nasal tip appearance. Making it very spiky pointy would look false for your facial proportions. Looks good and natural. We recommend wait 1 year more before thinking in revision surgery.
