I am 53 years old. In 2016, I had a prophylactic Double Mastectomy and Reconstruction with Natrelle 410 implants. I have had continued pain and other problems since they were placed. I have decided to have them removed. I do not want new implants and I do tnot want any Flap surgeries. What are my options for fat grafting, etc?
Answer: Implant removal I'm sorry to hear of the discomfort you are experiencing. You can elect to have your implants removed at any time. You will need to be examined to determine if you are a good candidate for fat grafting based on your goals. If you are not a candidate you can discuss other options with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Removal After mastectomies, your tissue may be fairly thin and may not support much fat. I would suggest being examined to see if you are a candidate for fat grafting.

Answer: Options for Breast Implant Removal after Mastectomy and Reconstruction? Thank you for your question, @whycellulite. I have performed at least 400 explant procedures. The procedure involves removing breast implants and capsules, reconstructing the breast with your own tissue, and what I can see from my patients is that they feel better, there is no more pain, and all the problems associated with Asia syndrome have disappeared. There is, of course, no substitute for having a consultation with a Board-certified plastic surgeon to get more information and options that are tailored to your specific situation. Best wishes!!

Answer: Revision Unfortunately, you have not provided any photographs or told us your bra size or implant size. It may be possible that at the time of implant removal, the excess loose skin can be used to make an internal cone and at the same time or later fat transfers can be done. This technique can be performed without the vertical scar but with the incisions around the areola and in the fold of the breast. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implant removal Dear whycellulite, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
