Fat transfer using liposuction and fat injection is now a well-established technique and can be applied to any area including the breasts. For many years breasts were not considered a reasonable place to do fat grafting because of the concern for calcification which might interfere with mammograms in the future. Scientific studies into this question have clarified that this should not be that much of a concern if the procedure is done carefully and atraumatically. Nevertheless this issue should be discussed and understood.

	Although the price is not the only factor of course it is a significant factor for most people. Generally it costs more to do liposuction and fat grafting the breasts than to do breast augmentation with implants. The actual cost varies according to the volume that would be needed and whether the skin needs to be pretreated by stretching with a vacuum device. Alternatively the procedure may need to be done in multiple stages to accomplish a significant volume change.

	The costs for such a procedure would vary from about $6000 for a moderate augmentation to double or more for larger augmentation. It would also depend on which sites are available for harvesting and how much fat is available for harvesting.

Beware of what you are after in #augmentingbreastswithfat. If you only want the price and don't even care whether it is a reasonable surgery for you or reasonable with caveats you will find someone who will do it for your price and likely make an irreparable mess of it.

can certainly be done but you must be willing to accept the risks of fat grafting and realize that your breasts usually will still be on the soft side and not terribly firmer, depending on what volumes you are considering. Costs will vary by doctor and you should do your homework so you know that to expect and realize that revisions or re-dos are almost certain in your situation so you should know what additional costs there may be.
