Fat transfer using liposuction and fat injection is now a well-established technique and can be applied to any area including the breasts. For many years breasts were not considered a reasonable place to do fat grafting because of the concern for calcification which might interfere with mammograms in the future. Scientific studies into this question have clarified that this should not be that much of a concern if the procedure is done carefully and atraumatically. Nevertheless this issue should be discussed and understood.

Although the price is not the only factor of course it is a significant factor for most people. Generally it costs more to do liposuction and fat grafting the breasts than to do breast augmentation with implants.
