I am 24, 114 lbs, 5'3, and wear a 32a bra (most 32 bands are still too large on my back). I am a better fit in a 30a bra size. Is brava fat transfer a viable option for breast augmentation for me? I only want 1-2 cup size increase and do not like the look/feel of implants. My measurements: under arms- 32, around bust-33, rib cage- 28, waist-26, hips/butt-36, thighs-21 inches. Would it be possible to become a 32b or small 32c with one procedure? About how much would the procedure cost? Thank you.
Answer: Do you have the extra fat somewhere?
People die waiting for heart transplants because we don't have enough hearts available.
And fewer patients get fat injections than would like to receive them because they don't have extra fat available elsewhere on their bodies. Think about it: a great number of small-breasted women are also thin and therefore don't have the fat to transfer.
In my opinion, the two authorities on this subject are Dan Delvecchio in Boston and Roger Khouri in Miami.
It is an evolving field. Methods are changes. Surgeons are getting varied results. Each doctor has their own little nuances. You shouldn't be listening to anyone on this subject other than the surgeon who will be the one doing your procedure.
Good luck

Answer: Mini Ultimate Breast Lift instead of fat transfer
Unfortunately, your photograph does not show your breasts adequately. There is a new technique called The Mini Ultimate Breast Lift. Using only a circumareola incision it is possible to reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. This increases the projection of your breasts without an implant, is all natural and may solve your problem.
Best Wishes,
Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Brava and fat transfer
If you want breast enlargement, implants are still the best way to go. The problem with using fat transfer with or without the Brava system is that it simply doesn't work. I have never seen a case where it actually does very much in the long run. Don't waste your money on unproven techniques.

Answer: Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
Hi Julia,
The Brava system is the only way to maximize graft take (how much fat permanently survives the transfer), and I would only considerate in you, given your paucity of donor material. In someone like you, we would need to harvest from multiple areas to accumulate enough fat to graft. In the best of circumstances, plan a 40% loss, average is 50%. So to get a 300 cc augmentation, we'd need 600 cc per breast, a lot of fat to harvest!
The results are definitely a great alternative to implants, and are superior in feel and natural appearance, however the process with the Brava system is cumbersome. Preparation time is down to 2 weeks though. One thing to consider is that if the final result is less than desired, you are now a better candidate for a small, anatomic breast implant.
Best of luck!

Answer: BRAVA fat transfer in a petite woman
Thank you for your question and photo. The BRAVA system acts as an external expander that the patient wears over her chest for 8-12 hours/day for 4-6 weeks prior to fat grafting surgery. It's purpose is to expand the tissues under negative pressure and this leads to tissue recruitment and increase in blood vessels. The idea is that when you get fat grafting into the breasts, the fat will survive better due to increased vascularity. Not all surgeons use the BRAVA system and excellent results are achieved without it as well. Matter of fact, in Europe the BRAVA system is not used, and great natural results are achieved. In certain situations, without a question it is very advantageous to use it. Looking at the limited view of your photo, it is possible to collect enough fat from your abdomen, hips and possible thighs to give you at least a cup size augmentation. Normally, you would loose 35% volume in the long run. The volume that you will have at 4 months, is permanent. BTW, a cup size for you is about 150cc. See a board certified plastic surgeon familiar with these techniques for an in person consultation/examination. Good luck.
