Morpheus8 vs Facetite to improve skin laxity? (Photo)

Hello, I'm a man who just turned 30 and has experienced skin laxity loss over the last 2 years which has left my facing looking worse for wear. Id like to have a jawline again . My chin has also widened considerably. Im not sure if Im a good candidate for Facetite or Morpheus8. I'm planning on losing more weight(currently 83kg/5'11) and I fear skin laxity will get worse as I reach my goals. Would I benefit more from a Facetite procedure over Morpheus8?

Hello and thank you for your question. It is hard to assess your skin laxity from your photos because of your beard. But in general, you are young, your skin should respond nicely to either treatment. I normally recommend Facetite for those patients who have a thicker submental area or fat deposits under the chin. However, if the fat deposit is small or not there, I recommend Morpheus8. Both treatments treat skin laxity and fat. The difference is Facetitie has a liposuction component that results in greater reduction of adipose tissue (fat). Also, with Facetite, you will have to wear a compression garment on your face, you will not have to do that with Morpheus. I recommend you have an in-person consultation with a provider, so you have the best procedure for your situation. Good luck!

Skin laxity loss is an expected result in people who lose weight. Morpheus 8, Facetite are very useful applications to improve skin laxity on the cheeks and under the chin. They seriously stimulate collagen formation. Morpheus 8 is applied 3 sessions a month in between each session. Facetite is applied for 1 time. Apart from these, Morpheus8 to be applied 1 month after PLLA (Sculpture, Lanluma) injection to the cheeks creates a serious collagen stimulation and tightening.

Hello, hope you are well. Morpheus8 treats the skin directly through the surface with RF microneedling, whereas the energy from the FaceTite procedure is delivered deep to the skin (bipolar RF). I often perform these procedures together for maximum benefit. FaceTite/NeckTite also includes a liposuction component of treatment which can help with fullness under the chin and jawline. More than 1 session of Morpheus8 is often recommended. Having said that I think you could go in either direction, but you may be more satisfied with the more powerful of the two options (FaceTite), and even consider Morpheus at the same time.

Unfortunately, the photos provided are not ideal for evaluating this situation. In general, however, in the hands of an experienced filler injector, the jawline can be rather easily straightened, contoured and defined to eliminate sagging and jowls. It shouldn't take more than five minutes per side to achieve with immediate results that typically evoke a "Wow!" response. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. A word to the wise: be cautious about claims for this or that, relatively expensive "bells and whistles" energy device, such as fraxel lasers or RF devices, etc., as the hard science to support the use of these expensive "here-today-gone tomorrow" gizmos lags well behind the intense marketing and advertising hype and social media buzz that is used to hawk them. Remember, if you ask specifically for something, you may very well get it and regret it. Hope this helps and best of luck.

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure which uses RF technology to tighten skin and melt fat.  There is no general anesthesia required.  Morpheus8 can either be used on its own or in conjunction with FaceTite to improve overall skin tone and texture.  An in person evaluation is best to determine which treatment is best for you.
