FaceTite or chin liposuction - which procedure would minimize the appearance of a double chin? (photos)

I have always had a double chin I’ve tried fat dissolving injections and chin filler. But nothing helps. Im a healthy weight and no matter how much weight I lose it doesn’t shift. I have a consultation for facetite and she said it would help improve but doing my own research I am not sure. Would I be best getting chin lipo instead? I don’t want to waste money. Thanks

Hi! You are a great FaceTite candidate. FaceTite is a minimally invasive treatment using a small cannula that will liquefy and remove unwanted fat. To conclude the end of your treatment, we would do additional skin tightening using the Morpheus8. The Morpheus8 uses a combination of radiofrequency and micro-needling, to stimulate collagen, elastin and hyaluronic production. This would be the best option for you to reach desired results.

Thank you for your question. Both your lower face and under your chin have fat and low skin laxity. If only liposuction is performed, you will not get enough skin tightening. I apply either vaserlipo or Facetite (or Necktite) and Liposuction according to the skin laxity and adiposity in the physical examination of the patient who comes with your complaint. In your case, I recommend Necktite to the neck and Facetite to the lower face and then pull the fat with a thin cannula (2mm). Thus, the jawline line will be clearly revealed. Of course, afterwards, you need to use a not too tight compression garment for the face for at least 10 days, including the cheek, under the chin and neck.

Hello!  Based solely on your pictures, I think you could be a candidate for Facetite.  At our clinics, Facetite includes liposuction for added fat reduction.  A typical Facetite procedure that I preform includes: 1. numbing with tumescent fluid so you are comfortable and in no pain, 2. skin tightening with the Facetite hand piece, 3. traditional liposuction to remove fat deposits and 4. Morpheus8 on the treatment area for additional skin tightening.  One thing to note is having had fat dissolving injections in the past has the potential to make Facetite a little more difficult, but it can be done.  I recommend you schedule an in-person consultation with a provider that does Facetite with liposuction to be sure you are a candidate.  I've included my link below.  Good luck!

In my opinion, based on the above pictures, you are a good candidate for Vaser liposuction in combination with Renuvion/J plasma or Facetite on the neck/double chin and jawline area. This combined procedure allows for the removal of localized fat in the neck area and also tightens the skin, giving a slimmer face and defining your jawline. The procedure can be performed awake with local anesthesia. I would recommend making an appointment with a surgeon who is an expert in face/neck procedures for a medical/surgical assessment to create a bespoke treatment plan.

Georgina, Thank you for sharing your photos.  I can see from your photos that do have a bit of a double chin.  There are multiple options to address your concern.  The least invasive would be a Facetite and Chin Liposuction. I think if you are going to do Facetite or Chin Lipo they should be combined . They are both minimally invasive and improve the result of each other.  There is little advantage of doing one without the other.  Not only to compliment and provide synergy to each other , but when done together they are much less expensive than doing each separately.  A slightly more invasive option is MyEllevate, the Non Surgical Neck Lift. It will help better define your chin, neck and jaw line.  It is also commonly done with Chin Liposuction. With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, Halo, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, PiXel8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles.
