I recently had a crown placed on one of my upper right teeth. Apparently it wasn't fit correctly so the spacing between the next tooth is too much now and I get food stuck in it constantly and my gum is so sore that it even throbs. I went back and the dentist said that since my next tooth also needs a crown that he will just make the next one bigger to fit tighter against the first crown. Is that an appropriate fix or should the first one be remade?

Placing a permanent crown on a painful tooth is not recommended. From what you described, you will probably need a root canal. Talk to your dentist about it. He should at least perform a pulpal test and refer you to an endodontist for consultation.
Hi:My suggestion is to have your dentist take an xray of the tooth next to the implant to make sure there is no bone loss or infection. It is also good to recheck the bite in the area.Best,Dr. Maddahi
The zirconia is an excellent material to work the posterior zones due to its capacity to receive forces, however for the anterior area emax is a highly esthetic material and resistant to the loads that are exerted in that area.regards
