Patients should avoid vitamin E about 10 days before surgery and 10 days after surgery as it can cause excess bruising and bleeding. This goes for Brazilian buttock lift as well as any elective surgery. Please consult your surgeon for more information before having your procedure. Best wishes, Dr.Bruno
Vitamin E should be stopped for 2 weeks before and for 2 weeks after the surgery due to presumed increased bleeding risk.
I recommend avoiding vit E for 10 days before surgery. It can increase your risk of bleeding complications. In my office, we give our BBL patients a list of all the medicines that they should and should not take before and after surgery. Your surgeon should provide soemthing similar. If not, ask.
Its very important to check with your doctor how to take care before surgery, there are several vitamins and foods you need to avoid before surgery, any Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will be able to let you know, so talk to your Doctor, he will be able to advise you.
Every surgeon is different. I always recommend stopping Vitamin E supplements 2 weeks before surgery to reduce your risk of bleeding/bruising. I allow patients to continue a multivitamin if it has a small amount of Vitamin E in it.
During a BBL, fat can be placed in the buttocks or the hips. When fat is put in the lateral hips, it will give more curves. When fat is placed in the buttock, it gives more projection. If you are unsure of what your surgeon means, you should ask him or her to draw the area on your body that they...
I typically remove fat from all the areas that are in excess including the back, flanks, abdomen among others. You need to be about 20-30lbs above your ideal body weight to have the best results. It seems you have enough fat.
Thanks for your question. The time from consult to surgery varies from surgeon to surgeon and reflects the surgeon's schedule. If you believe that you want to proceed in a short period of time, you should let the office know this so they can review available dates with you now! Emphasize that...
I think that you should be at or close to your baseline weight before undergoing BBL surgery. This means that you should not gain or lose weight specifically in preparation for the surgery. Being at your baseline weight will allow the surgeon to get a better result and make your result more...
Hi Rubenesque, YES--the back area always has more fat than you even realize! This fat can be used for the Brazilian Butt Lift. It is not unusual for me to collect 1.5 pounds of fat from Liposuction of the back area. Ricardo L Rodriguez MD Baltimore, Maryland
It is unusual to have pain 2 years after a BBL. It is possible that you sustained some nerve injury. There is a nerve that runs under your buttock muscles and if your surgeon injured it during the procedure, it may cause pain in your buttock and legs. See your surgeon for followup.
