Getting a full tummy tuck with lipo to love handles and bra area. Do I have too much visceral fat to have a flat tummy?

Someone told me if I laid own I would be able to tell what is going to get taken off with a tummy tuck and what was visceral fat is that true? I am getting a full tummy tuck with Lipo to love handles and bra area. Do I have to much visceral fat to have a flat tummy?

Hard to tell exactly from photos how much is intrabdominal--but it looks like you should have a fantastic result and be waaaaaaayyy flatter.  If your up to it post after photos on real self I think you will look great

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Though best determined with an in-person examination it does appear that you have an increased amount of visceral fat that can only be treated with diet and exercise.  That said, based on your apparent skin excess a tummy tuck would offer you a very nice improvement, especially if combined with some liposuction of the waist and flanks.  Hope this helps.

question. Although it is not possible to fully assess your visceral fat content without a physical exmaination, based on your photographs alone, you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck
with liposuction.  This can be done
through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line.  The belly button can be designed to look
natural and have no scars on the exterior.  
Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen.  Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.  The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get an entire back, waist and flanks liposuction, with BBL, and tummy tuck, this is because all the extra skin located in this areas.
  
Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. Also please try to find a board certified plastic surgeon, remember that your safety, always, is going to be first.

You are very smart and observant to be aware of the issue of visceral fat. This is the fat that you are not able to pinch from the abdomen. What is left over is the fat around the intestines, under the abdominal muscles. Only weight loss will get rid of visceral fat. In any event, if you have a tummy tuck, you may not expect to have a perfectly flat abdomen, but it will be improved. Make sure your BMI is 30 or less. Otherwise you will not have a good result.

Based on your limited photo, you appear to be anatomically a candidate for a full tummy tuck and liposuction of selective areas. It is difficult to tell whether you are a good candidate without a physical examination and complete medical history. It would depend on your anatomical findings, motivation, realistic expectations, and whether you are finished having children. An abdominoplasty should be delayed until you are within 10 pounds of your ideal weight and have finished all of your pregnancies. Lesser procedures will not produce a good cosmetic result in a patient with your anatomy.
 
 If a member of my family underwent a tummy tuck, it would be performed by an experienced plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) . If you are serious about undergoing these procedures, you should have a thorough consultation with a plastic surgeon having those credentials, who will fully explain what is entailed in the procedures, including both the positives and potential problems. You should be complimented on the fact that you are seeking valid information before jumping into any procedure.

Based on your photos, I think you will get a good result. If there is visceral fat, diet and exercise can improve the upper fullness but the skin excess can only be corrected with a tummy tuck. Best wishes.

It is always recommended that you achieve your goal weight before surgery. The goal weight should be a weight that you believe you can maintain after surgery. Based on your photos,  it appears that you have some visceral fat that could be decreased prior to surgery to achieve a better result but you could still obtain a decent result and good improvement at your current weight.
