A1C 7.5 - Is it more dangerous for a type 1 diabetic to have a Breast Lift with Implants than a Tummy Tuck?

Overall a breast lift with implant is a much less invasive surgery than a tummy tuck, so if your first surgery went well this next one should also. Important to keep your A1C down to 7.5. Diabetics are at a bit more risk for infection which can be a problem if a breast implant were to get infected. So follow all your surgeons instructions carefully and chances are you will do very well. Good luck.

With a HAIC of 7.5, elective surgery is not advisable since your blood sugars are not controlled. You are at higher risks of wounds not healing well and infections. Please get your sugars under control, then consider surgery.

An augmentation mastopexy is much less invasive and a smaller procedure than liposuction with an abdominoplasty. You should do well since you healed fine with your recent procedure.
