I would also make sure to check in with your doctor to confirm that it would be advisable to discontinue it before you do. Once you have the go ahead from your doctor, I would suggest you did not take it a few weeks before and after your CoolSculpting treatment. Being on immunosuppressants such as Imuran is not a contraindication to having CoolSculpting treatments, nor is it likely to reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. You can expect a 20-25% reduction in the subcutaneous fat volume in each area treated, with full results in 60-90 days. In my practice, I would not ask a patient to discontinue Imuran prior to doing CoolSculpting.
Laparoscopic surgery will not affect results of your Coolsculpting. Usually, 2-3 small 5-10mm incisions are used to introduce instruments inside of the abdomen. This should not interfere with CS results. Hope this helps
