Hylenx, filler removal and fat transfer

We are seeing more and more patients with problem like yours; scarring after injection of fillers is relatively frequent and may be very noticable. Correction using enzyme and corticosteroid tupical injection is the first step and may help significantly. However, in some cases it may require surgical removal. Fat grafting may be a possiblity to decrease "deformity" and improve condition but it has to be done by a real expert in facial fat grafting since it can create even more complex problem. God luck.

Thank you for your questions. An exam and photos would be very helpful. I would recommend ultrasound guided dissolving of the filler. With ultrasound imaging you can be much more targeting in getting to and treating the filler rather than just injecting into the area and hoping for the best. Fat grafting might be an option for you but I would work to get the filler dissolved first. You could also consider Renuva.

It’s not possible to scrape out previously injected, fillers.
Without seeing pictures, we can’t make an assessment. I suggest you give yourself plenty of time to let things settle down to baseline.
