And also told me not to bend. How long should this be followed?
Answer: Avoid sitting after VASER Lipo
The reason the Doctor has told you to refrain from sitting or bending is to avoid marks in the skin from bunching of the compression garment which can happen when the body is placed in one of the positions. It takes 6-8 weeks for the majority of swelling to be gone from liposuction, most importantly in the first 3-4 weeks. When the body swelling is at its peak, whenever you bend or sit the garment can wrinkle which can cause a line i the area operated on with increased swelling above and below the line. The can also create permanent indentations if left untreated which can require another operation to fix. I like to place foam underneath the garment to help add support to prevent the garment from wrinkling. The garment may also need to be custom made or tailored to have the right fit and compression. The garment is extremely important following the procedure, and it is important to have a proper fitting garment. The more expensive garments tend to be made better and have less wrinkling and support than the cheaper ones. I am currently in the process of designing a garment to minimize wrinkling as much as possible. It is important for your surgeon to check your garments fit post-operatively so that this does not happen.

Answer: No sitting or bending after Vaser liposuction
The skin is swollen after any type of liposuction and prolonged sitting and bending can cause creases and indentations in the skin. I typically instruct my patients to avoid sitting, twisting and bending for the first 10 days and then in only limited extent in the first 3 weeks. Also, after such a procedure, you mat have seromas or fluid collections which may be trapped in pockets and not drained properly if you sit for any extent of time. At my practice, we employ an intensive post-lipo care recovery regimen for the firsts 3 weeks to minimize or prevent such complication. Please review your post-operative instructions carefully with your surgeon.
